Title: A message stick held in the University of Queensland Anthropology Museum

Description: Message stick. Physical Description: Hard wood of a light brown colour, painted a darker brown colour. It is rectangular in shape however the lateral (horizontal) edges are slightly rounded. On these edges are four sets of frou veritcal lines that have been etched into the wood. On both main faces of the object are etchings of various designs including cross hatching, and lines (both vertical and horizontal).
