Title: A message stick held in the University of Queensland Anthropology Museum

Description: Message stick. Physical Description: The object is in a display case (description is only for visible attributes). The object is rectangular in shape and the edges are curved slightly but are basically straight. It has been painted all over an earthy red/brown colour. Vertical lines have been incised into the wood and appear along the entire length of the object. A horizontal line (which is quite faint) runs through the centre of the object and the vertical lines. There are four small circles along the length of the object which are a couple of milimetres deep.
