Title: A message stick held in the University of Queensland Anthropology Museum
Description: Message stick. Physical Description: The object is in a display case.The stick is a medium hardwood, which is flat. The edges are slightly curved and meet at tapered/ pointed ends. It is a darkish brown colour, however there is some evidence of a red/pink pigment over parts of the object. The pattern appears to have been burned into the wood and consists of vertical lines along the length of it and there are three crosses that also appear.
