Title: A message stick held in the University of Queensland Anthropology Museum

Description: Message stick. Physical Description: Stick is cylindrical in shape, a hardwood of a light brown colour, painted a darker brown. Is distinguished by four 'sides' which each have different designs etched into the wood. There are twenty two small holes bored into one side and twenty-four on another. On these sides are also vertical and horizontal line patterns. On another side appears zig zag patterns and diagonal lines on another.
