Title: A message stick held in the University of Queensland Anthropology Museum

Description: Message stick. Physical Description: The message stick is a cylindrical shape (rounded), of a medium hardwood that is light brown in colour. It has been painted a brown colour (slightly darker). The ends of the object are roughly worked/finished. There is an incised pattern that proceeds over the entire object and consists of sets of three bands of diagonal lines with intersect to form a cross pattern. There is also a chevron type pattern concentrated at towards the ends of the message stick.
