Notes on coordinates: Absolute coordinates for Thevenard, South Australia, per Google maps. beachsafe.org.au: Cape Thevenard is a distinctive narrow 3 km long 10 to 20 m high calcarenite capped headland, that separates Bosanquet and Murat bays. The western tip of the cape reaches relatively deep water and was chosen last century as a port. Today it remains the port for Ceduna, the last commercial port until Esperance 1 100 km to the west. The small town of Thevenard and the port facilities are located along the centre to western end of the cape.
