Description: NHMLAC online catalogue: "Message Stick". Description from old catalog card: "'Light colored wood that has beemn stained. Shows designs such as: florqal pattern, cresent shaped symbols, clubs,. diamonds, etc. These designs appear to have been burnt in. Pahllioc object probably." Description from Blomberg card: "Message stick - wood, cylindrical, biconical, one end has band with 6 projections in relief, and two holes, shaft has plant form in relief, other designs of plants and geometric shapes are pecked and scratched. Stick has two scratched bands around middle and two at opposite end from relief carving, surface is slightly polished."
