Motif transcription: Figure 68F is a message stick I carried from: Miljirina at Oenpelli to a number of aborigines at Darwin, chief among them being Tjakulima. Line a is a request from Miljirina to Tjakulima to send out food because he wished to go to Goulburn Island; b is a member of the staff of Native Affairs in Darwin, and c, c (the crosses) requests to that officer to send Miljirina's wife, Tundara, back to Oenpelli; d is Wiang, e two sticks of tobacco, f an aboriginal, Nantjin, g another aboriginal, Miauri, and h, more sticks of tobacco which Miljirina wanted the men to send to him at Oenpelli. p. 475
