Description: AMus pdf from 24.01.2023: "Message or letter stick [ref reg]; Oblong, compressed, flat, sharp-edged, ends pointed. Side A: 8 groups of tranverse incisions, of from 3-11 cuts in each, at one end partly chequered by a few longitudinal incisions. Other side plain [ref LC]; Condition: Complete. Message: Roth (1897, p137): "Fig. 329. Made by a Karanya (Boulia District). Oiv. and Bev. identical. The message to be conveyed was "All you fellows belonging to Bedouri,&c., come up to Boulia for blankets, or a corrobboree,"&c. A=Bedouri, B=Breadalbane, C=Cooraboolka, D=Marion Downs, E = Boulia. [PK: this is the relevant object ->]Fig.330. Made by a Karanya. Similar message to preceding,but the people of different districts addressed : A and C = localities unmapped, B = Headingly, D=Carandotta, E=Roxburgh, P=Glenormiston, G=Herbert Downs, H =Boulia.
